Spam is a growing concern for publishers of sites that need to provide contact addresses in their pages. Spammers use robot programs to crawl Web pages to find and extract those contact addresses.
How does this page help fight spam?
The hope is that by using this page to pollute the email address databases of spammers (hopefully beyond repair) we will all end up getting less spam. The spammer will be forced to clean out their list including all the real email addresses they have collected.
How does this page work?
The dynamic content on this page is generated each time the page is visited by a web browser, or by a web-scanning robot program. Each page contains a list of 30 non-existing e-mail addresses, together with a list of random links.
Each of the random links that this page generates looks exactly like an ordinary web to a new page but in fact, if you follow any one of these hyper-links, you will actually end up coming right back and executing the page again, getting another random dynamically generated web page. The new page will contain a new set of bogus email addresses and also a new set of random links to new pages. Naturally, each of those new links will, if followed, lead right back to the same page yet again, thus starting the whole cycle all over again.
How can I help fight spam?
If you would like to help us fight spam just add a link wherever you can. If a spam bot tries to harvest email addresses from your web site it will follow your link to our page and end up getting a lot more than they bargained for!
You could try added links to Forums / Message Boards, Your Website, Guest Books, Blogs.
